Visiting fellows from the United States, Sergiy Logvin and Sagatom Saha, together with the experts of DiXi Group, prepared an analysis of the official U.S. position on supporting Ukraine’s energy security.

Experts of the DiXi Group think tank have prepared factsheet – an infographics about the tariffs` components and transparency of their formation. The first factsheet discloses information on electricity tariffs. Next factsheets will present information on the formation of tariffs for heat, gas and oil.

On December 14, Ukrainian and European experts will present their assessment of energy and environment reforms in 2017.

On October 5, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the implementation of international financial reporting standards, which should ensure greater transparency and accountability in extractive industries for investors and local communities.

Olena Pavlenko, President of the DiXi Group think tank, participated in the presentation of the first EITI Report in Germany held in Berlin on September 6, 2017. The document contains a contextual part, results and data reports and covers such sectors as extraction of sand, gravel, stone, brown coal, black coal, lime, rock salt etc.

The first High-Level Policy Talk under the framework of the EU4Energy Governance project took place in Kyiv, gathering members of parliament across the political spectrum, experts of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the DiXi Group think tank and the Energy Community Secretariat.

A round table “Catch Me If You Can, or Why Do “Active Participants” of Investigative Journalism Go Unpunished?” was devoted to the problem of incomplete journalistic investigations in the energy sector and interaction between investigative journalists and law enforcement agencies authorised to consider anti-corruption cases. The event took place on May 29, 2017 at the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre.

The DiXI Group’s Analyst Denys Nazarenko took part in Transformation ’17 hosted by Vox Ukraine. The event was dedicated to an overview of reforms in Ukraine. In particular, reforms relating to the energy and housing sectors. Journalists from local mass media were invited to the event.

DiXi Group’s Vice President Anton Antonenko took part in the round table “Facilitating Georgian Energy Reforms in Line with Energy Community Commitments” organized by representatives of the Georgian think tank WEG (World Experience for Georgia). DiXi’s representative shared via Skype with those participating in the event his experience on how to organize the monitoring of the performance of obligations within the framework of the Energy Community (which the DiXi Group has maintained since 2011), elucidated the structure and key components of the monitoring, and talked about the details of activities of the Multilateral Working Group.
