Members of the Energy Transparency Association noted positive changes in institutional development
During a monthly meeting with the association’s member organizations, DiXi Group Manager for Sustainable Development, Olha Polunina, presented a report on DiXi Group’s support for the Energy Transparency Association.
According to a recent survey, nine out of ten member organizations of this association noted positive changes in institutional development. In particular, representatives of these organizations believe that the association’s overall institutional capability has improved, as did the functional and organizational capabilities of the organizations themselves. The average capability improvement rate for the member organizations is 77.5%.
These changes became a logical consequence of actions taken with the assistance from DiXi Group: signature of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Dixi Group, engagement of legal professionals, a communication manager and a secretary, organization of trainings and monthly meetings.
Olha Polunina separately touched upon the challenges the association faces today, and initiated a discussion concerning future benchmarks in current work. During the discussion, representatives of the member organizations noted the need to adjust institutional goals, some of which do not show progress, while at the same time, certain achievements haven’t been mentioned in strategic documents.
The attendees also discussed fundraising options and concrete ideas of how to use grants to achieve the association’s goals.
The Energy Transparency Association was established to promote the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Standard in Ukraine at the public level and in regions where extraction operations take place. The association also delegates representatives of the public to the Multi-Stakeholder Group for EITI Implementation.
