DiXi Group’s Analyst Shared His Experience with Georgian Colleagues

DiXi Group’s Vice President Anton Antonenko took part in the round table “Facilitating Georgian Energy Reforms in Line with Energy Community Commitments” organized by representatives of the Georgian think tank WEG (World Experience for Georgia). DiXi’s representative shared via Skype with those participating in the event his experience on how to organize the monitoring of the performance of obligations within the framework of the Energy Community (which the DiXi Group has maintained since 2011), elucidated the structure and key components of the monitoring, and talked about the details of activities of the Multilateral Working Group.

In the end of his speech, DiXi’s representative called on the round table participants to implement reforms jointly and establish common discussion platforms.

“The matters discussed show that the organizers thoroughly prepared to implement the course of the reforms. We are pleased to have the experience and be able to cooperate with our Georgian counterparts not only in relation to our own work but also to creating new forms and incentives for the implementation of European energy reforms in both countries,” Anton Antonenko shared his impressions.

We should remind that Ukraine has been a member of the Energy Community since 2011.

Also, on October 14, 2016, the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community approved Georgia’s membership.

The practice of procuring special extraction permits and then sitting idle on them for decades is unacceptable from the viewpoint of Ukraine’s energy independence and national security, raising budget revenues and the country’s investment attractiveness.

International Energy Transparency Index 2020: sector openness test – positive or negative?

Transparency is one of the key prerequisites for effective economic and market development, open competition, fair pricing, and formulation of balanced policy and regulation. Better information openness is also a safeguard against corruption.
