DiXi Group together with a coalition of NGOs calls on the G7 countries urgently channel part of their unused SDRs to Ukraine

DiXi Group think tank in the framework of the project ” Support to the decarbonization of Ukraine’s economy through the development of new financing models through the use of debt” joined the appeal to G7 countries for help. In it, the coalition of public organizations

for providing Ukraine with the necessary funding to win against the unprovoked and full-scale aggression of Russia and support the macro-financial stability of Ukraine.

“We would really encourage you to consider the donation of SDRs to Ukraine in a manner that
best preserves its unique reserve status and does not add to its debt burden. If you decide to
donate SDRs in a manner that converts them to loans, Ukrainians request very concessional
terms: at a minimum, long maturities (above 20 years) with low yields and a grace period of at
least 10 years”,  said in a letter signed by 37 NGOs.
