- The shortage of fuel for flexible power generation and suspension of imports from Belarus aggravate the problem of balancing in the power system, which cannot be solved by the maximum utilization of the nuclear capacity… Amid the dwindling coal stocks at thermal power plants and unstable supplies, the government is looking for the financing needed to increase coal production…
- The supply of gas to DSOs at lower prices would help avoid a sharp increase of the distribution tariff, but afterwards, it would necessitate larger expenses of the companies, which they would place on the end consumers…
- In the meantime, the absence of a constitutional provision embedding independence of the energy regulator continues to create conflicts of laws and to be scrutinized by international partners…
