Dixi Group Helped the Ministry of Energy to Develop AidEnergy Platform

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Office of Reforms of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and DiXi Group think tank, as part of the USAID Energy Sector Transparency project, has developed AidEnergy online platform for the distribution of humanitarian aid coming from partners.

The new AidEnergy online platform will help Ukrainian energy companies to receive humanitarian aid faster. Thanks to it, the distribution and coordination of aid will become public, and the interaction of the Ministry of Energy with donors and companies of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) will be simplified and accelerated.

“The shock of the first months of the war has already passed and Ukraine as a whole and in the energy sector in particular faces a challenge regarding the transparency of the use of aid provided by Donors and a coalition of partners. The productivity of cooperation and the increase of aid scopes obviously depends on trust. Such trust can only be ensured by transparency, Andrii Bilous, Open Data Manager at DiXi Group, said. – However, at the executive level, ensuring access to information without automation is a non-trivial task, given the flow of data and the number of different beneficiaries. The launch of AidEnergy system, of course, will not provide everyone with all the necessary information at once, but gradually the volume of data will increase, which is undoubtedly the right direction.”

Today, international partners provide significant support to Ukrainian energy companies, the production facilities of which were damaged by Russian aggression and missile attacks. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine collects information from the affected companies regarding their needs, communicates with partners that can provide the appropriate equipment and coordinates their interaction. Thus, the government coordinates the entire process of humanitarian aid for FEC companies.

We recall that DiXi Group experts from the USAID Energy Sector Transparency project became members of the Ministry of Energy’s working group on humanitarian aid for energy sector enterprises. They help the Ministry organize the process of collecting and processing requests for international assistance and have developed a data structure for collecting information from the Ukrainian side. DiXi Group experts also coordinate the development of AidEnergy system.
