Weekly analytical report March 29 – April, 4, 2021

Report announcement:

  • The participants and operators of the electricity market initiated creation of new market products and trading platforms to boost liquidity…
  • The maneuvers with gas clearing under the “customs warehouse” regime and approval of the basic annual offer appear to be temporary solutions that postpone systemic steps towards market liberalization
  • The Ministry of Environmental Protection released for public discussion a long-awaited draft Second Nationally Determined Contribution of Ukraine to the Paris Agreement
  • While the State Service for Geology and Mineral Resources is reporting on the quarterly results of online auctions, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) voiced doubts regarding the sector’s sufficient transparency and pursuit of national interests
  • While no decisions aimed to fulfil the memorandum with district heating companies can be seen on part of the government, the companies came out with proposals to solve the sector’s problems
