Monitoring of implementation of the IMF program and the EU assistance (April 2024)

The IMF Board of Directors approved the third revision of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program in March 2013, as a result of which Ukraine received a loan tranche of about USD 880 million. THE TRANCHE OF THE LOAN AMOUNTED TO ABOUT $880 MILLION. The EU Council also approved the Ukraine Facility financial support program, under which Ukraine is to receive EUR 50 billion over 4 years, and the government adopted the Ukraine Plan, which provides for the measures necessary to receive the relevant budget support from the EU.

Successful fulfillment of the commitments (EU) and structural beacons (IMF) is a key to unimpeded receipt of further financial support, which is critical for Ukraine in a time of war. Their fulfillment is a signal of the implementation of reforms and changes for macroeconomic stability that our partners expect from us.

That is why every month the RRR4U consortium experts analyze how Ukraine is progressing in meeting the deadlines.

The new monitoring presents the results of the implementation of the IMF program after the third review and explains what reforms are envisaged in the Ukraine Facility Plan for 2024. It also includes key findings in the areas of financial sector and structural reforms, fiscal policy and macrofinancial stability, governance, anti-corruption, and rule of law.
