DiXi Group President Olena Pavlenko was elected as a representative from the Eurasian Region to the Global Council of Publish What You Pay, an international coalition of NGOs working to increase the transparency of the extractive industries and implement the EITI.
The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection began to digitalize data. From now on, information concerning economic activity in the extractive sector will be gathered, analyzed, verified and published in electronic form using the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) portal. During a seminar on preparation for validation of Ukraine’s EITI Report held on 29-30 October in Kyiv, DiXi Group expert Taras Tkachuk presented a study of the role played by the national oil and gas company in the sector’s development.
Speaking at the round table “Gas production and sustainable development of communities: challenges and prospects” held on 22 October in Poltava, DiXi Group expert Olha Polunina addressed the problems of distributing environmental tax and the prospects of reforming it. The event was held by New Energy CSO and the Energy Transparency Association as part of the “EITI in Ukraine for efficient local governance” initiative.
Implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) at local level was in the focus of discussion at the seminar held by DiXi Group in Kyiv on 19-20 September. During the two-day seminar, the attendees – members of the Energy Transparency Association, civil servants and representatives of the extractive sector – discussed key topics of MSG, analyzed major challenges to EITI implementation at local level, and devised the ways of overcoming them.

DiXi Group President Olena Pavlenko joined efforts with the Interagency Commission for Production Sharing Agreements (PSA) as an external expert to evaluate applications for PSA tenders. The external expert’s duties included evaluation of bidder applications along with Interagency Commission members and participation in the review of applications to determine potential winners.
