DiXi Group representatives attend the presentation of the EITI portal

The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection began to digitalize data. From now on, information concerning economic activity in the extractive sector will be gathered, analyzed, verified and published in electronic form using the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) portal. The presentation of this portal, held on 24 February, was attended by DiXi Group representatives. This online platform provides open access to information regarding extraction of natural resources, extraction licenses and tax payments. Pilot testing of the portal began in January 2020. Several companies have already received access to the platform’s functional and fulfilled all reporting requirements of law. The EITI portal has a closed and an open part: the functional of electronic report filing and analysis system for reporting companies, and the public platform with published reports available to any outside user, in particular, journalists and analysts. All data is formed in a machine-readable format, which means that it can be used in analytics and can become the basis for decision making. The contest commission who selected an IT team to create the portal and provided suggestions regarding the platform’s previous version also included DiXi Group representatives. The online platform of the extractive sector of the Ukrainian economy was created with the support from the German Government provided via Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
