Olena Pavlenko, President of DiXi Group, has been elected to a second term on the Board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) – the body responsible for the strategic management of the standard at the international level.
In the new Board, whose term will run from 2026 to 2029, the expert will once again represent civil society and the Eurasian region, which includes, in addition to Ukraine, Armenia, Albania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and other countries.

While serving as a Board member from 2023 to 2026, Olena Pavlenko chaired the Governance Committee, which during that time:
- updated and implemented the EITI’s transparency policy;
- finalized a system for evaluating companies and their compliance with the Initiative’s principles;
- proposed a new methodology for monitoring and evaluating performance.
“EITI is a unique platform where three parties – the government, companies, and civil society organizations – don’t just discuss various issues, but listen to one another and strive to build a shared policy for managing the extractive sector through consensus. For me, this is not only an honor but also an opportunity to gain incredible experience in how to build new, practical, and useful initiatives through dialogue”, emphasized the president of the think tank.
The expert added that Ukraine is one of the leaders of the international Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, as it has demonstrated significant progress in data disclosure, particularly through the implementation of electronic reporting. Furthermore, Ukraine’s experience will serve as a key example for presenting innovative solutions at the EITI Global Conference 2026.
