Olena Pavlenko participated in the energy discussion at the parliament

President of the DiXi Group Analytical Center Olena Pavlenko took part in the round table covering Ukraine’s energy security. The event was held at the initiative of MPs of Ukraine, in particular the representatives of the Fuel and Energy Complex Committee and the Committee for Foreign Affairs, with the participation of international politicians and experts, representatives of Ukrainian authorities, companies and experts.

Among the topics for discussion during the round table are the future development of the Ukrainian gas transmission system, combating the construction of the Nord Stream 2 and the reform of the oil and gas sector.  One of the key speakers of the event was the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius.

In her speech, Olena Pavlenko drew attention to the definition of energy security enshrined in the strategic documents of the USA, the EU and the International Energy Agency, and a change in approaches to understanding the energy security of different countries in recent decades. “The suggested examples can be used for Ukrainian experience, while working out the recommendations on strengthening energy security in Ukraine,” stressed Olena Pavlenko.
