DiXi Group Representatives Joined the Discussion on the Role of Think Tanks
DiXi Group Program Manager Roman Nitsovych and Manager for Organization Development and Procurement Anastasiia Romaniuk took part in the annual conference of think tanks in Ukraine, held in Kyiv on November 16.
“This time, the event raised many pressing issues related to the capacity of independent think tanks to operate efficiently and communicate on reforms not only the authorities but also with the society,” said Roman Nitsovych.
Conference participants discussed trends and challenges of 2016, as well as ways to increase the role of think tanks in the agenda formation, development and implementation of reforms.
Yevhen Bystrytskyi, Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation, stressed that the work of think tanks has recently seen a positive trend: turning them from those that only analyzed the situation and represented to the people their vision of the state of affairs, and criticized the government’s actions, into the institutions which offer decisions themselves. In this context, he recognized, among other things, the work of DiXi Group.
The Conference was held within the Think Tank Development Initiative implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation in cooperation with the Think Tank Foundation (TTF) supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine (SIDA).
