"DiXi Group" think tank and "Stronger together" Initiative published an appeal to the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the Energy Community Secretariat, the European Commission Support Group for Ukraine and the World Bank asking to emphasize the importance of adopting the law on the National Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (reg. No. 2966-д).
Mr. Anton Antonenko, Vice-President of DiXi Group think tank, will take part in the discussion “Energy reform: what did Groysman’s Government miss?”. The event will take place on 25 May at 15:30 in the office of Ukraine Crisis Media Centre (2 Khreshchatyk, Kyiv).

Anton Antonenko, Vice-President of DiXi Group think tank, attended the Eastern Partnership Energy Regulatory Bodies. The event took place in Vilnius. Apart from representatives of regulatory bodies, the participants of the workshop included officials of Energy Ministries of the Eastern Partnership countries and EU Member States, such as Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Lithuania, Germany and Austria.
New government has to keep the policy of increasing energy security and competition, including strengthening of sectoral industries’ transparency. Only in this case the international and Ukrainian experts, politicians and the Ukrainian society will take the side of ministries. Neither corruption schemes, nor political manipulations could be acceptable today, when the country remains in the situation of external aggression and economic challenges.
The draft Law No. 2966-д of 19 February 2016 “On the National Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Commission” has been approved in the first reading. The document was supported by 285 MPs.
On April 5, a meeting on amendments to the Treaty establishing the Energy Community, initiated by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry and supported by DiXi Group think tank, took place.
The Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction of the Verkhovna Rada has recognized the draft law "On the National Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Commission" (registration No. 2966-d of February 02, 2016) as compliant with anti-corruption legislation.
