- Russia continued its intensive attacks on Ukraine’s energy facilities. The power system was in short supply, with emergency support from the EU countries and power cuts across the country to balance it.
- One of the units at the Pivdennoukrainsk NPP was unloaded by 33% of its rated capacity due to complex transient conditions and significant fluctuations in power system parameters (frequency, voltage) caused by the shelling of the grid.
- Following the recent massive missile and drone attacks by russia, the IAEA will expand its monitoring to electrical substations that are important for the safe operation of nuclear power plants.
- The IAEA signed an agreement with France and Energoatom to support Ukrainian NPPs. Ukraine will receive spare parts for emergency diesel generators at Pivdennoukrainsk NPP.
- The Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo dismissed Volodymyr Kudrytskyi from the post of Chairman, which caused concern among international partners. Two members of the Supervisory Board resigned, calling the dismissal politically motivated and unjustified.
- The Cabinet of Ministers approved the supervisory board of the state energy trader, the Energy Company of Ukraine. It includes three independent members and two state representatives.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Law No. 3878–I, which provides for an increase in fuel excise taxes.
- Over the past week, entrepreneurs received 394 soft loans worth UAH 1.1 billion from authorized banks under the government program ‘Affordable Loans 5–7–9%’.
- The government has launched a pilot project, the Single Platform for Housing and Utility Services, to digitalize the sector. The platform will provide users with access to electronic accounts where they can view information about service providers and tariffs, make requests, and enter into or terminate contracts online.
- ‘Market Operator presented a platform for trading guarantees of electricity origin from renewable sources.
