The attendees discussed, in particular, the impact of the EITI on changes in the extractive sector in view of the global transformation of economy and energy sector due to climate change, and also, the energy transition and “ecologization” of extractive industries.

On 1 December 2020, a general meeting of civil society representatives was held to set up a Multi-Stakeholder Group to oversee the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (hereinafter referred to as the EITI MSG), which should be comprised of representatives of the public, business and government.
