- 50% of generation capacity (9.2 GW) lost as a result of Russian attacks, 42 units of thermal power plants and 20 units of hydropower plants are damaged or destroyed – so the Prime Minister Shmyhal.
- On June 7, Russians struck two oil depots with UAVs, in total 10 storages attacked since the beginning of 2024 – expert.
- The total duration of restrictions on industrial and residential consumption lasted 131 hours (78% hours of the week). Imports increased by 34% WoW (to 186.1 GWh).
- The government introduced additional measures to stabilize the power system, in particular government agencies and state-owned companies are required to ensure energy savings, and to stop using air conditioners and outdoor lighting.
- The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for providing financial support to individuals who install RES generating facilities combined with energy storage in their own households.
- The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the mandatory share of biocomponents in motor petroleum at the minimum level of 5% (by volume) from May 1, 2025.
- The fixed electricity price for households (4.32 UAH/kWh) covers the cost of production, as well as the costs of transmission and distribution – so the Deputy Energy Minister Hrynchuk.
- Ukraine and France signed a grant agreement to help restore and support critical information infrastructure and priority sectors of economy. A memorandum was signed with the EBRD on preparation of the energy security emergency response programme.
- The government approved a 30.4 million EUR loan from KfW for Ukrenergo. Framework Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on specific arrangements for implementation of Union funding under the Ukraine Facility was ratified.
