According to Energy Map, during the week of March 9-15, the volume of foreign trade in electricity practically did not change: imports increased by 0.2 GWh (+0.1%), while exports decreased by 0.01 GWh (-13.5%). As a result, imports amounted to 213.4 GWh, whereas exports totaled only 0.03 GWh.

Improved energy balance during the week was supported by warm and sunny weather, which increased generation from solar power plants and reduced electricity consumption from the grid.
At the same time, the maintenance campaign at nuclear power plants began on March 7: one power unit was taken out of operation, and in the middle of the week another NPP unit went out for repairs.
Attacks on energy infrastructure also continue – another massive attack on the energy system took place on March 14, and local attacks continue. Given these factors, the stability of the energy system remains quite fragile, and the need for imports is constant.
Import structure by country:
- Hungary – 113.3 GWh (53%);
- Romania – 44.1 GWh (21%);
- Slovakia – 40.2 GWh (19%);
- Poland – 13.6 GWh (6%);
- Moldova – 2.2 GWh (1%).
Compared to the previous week, deliveries from Moldova and Poland decreased by 42% and 60%, respectively, while imports from other directions increased by 11-13%.
