The Energy Transparency Index received an Honorable Mention in the category “Advancing competition through public-private dialogue”. The organizers noted that DiXi Group has been “contributing to providing consumers with clearer information and enhancing competition in energy markets” for more than six years with the Index.

“By providing consumers with better access to information, it strengthens their ability to make informed choices, which is a necessary basis for effective competition in emerging markets,” the World Bank points out

The competition, which attracted over 60 participants from around the world, is annual and highlights leading global practices that contribute to the development of a competitive market environment through non-coercive measures, focusing on the key role of antitrust and government authorities, regulators in particular, as well as non-governmental organizations.

DiXi Group’s General Manager for the Energy Markets Development Andrii Ursta, who prepares the Index together with the team, states: the award testifies to the importance of the study as a leading practice and analytical tool for the development of effective competition in energy markets. The document focuses on one of its main prerequisites – transparency. It is it that eliminates information asymmetry between different players in the energy market, creating equal conditions for entry and participation in it.

This is not the first recognition of our product: last year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the Index as an indicator of one of the tasks in Goal 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy” of the Government’s framework for reporting on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals: https://bit.ly/4iHjZjD.

We’re grateful for such high appreciation of the efforts made by our think tank! This increases the importance of our recommendations and, at the same time, the attention to them from the responsible state bodies. We promise to continue providing expert support and improving our analytical products
