President of DiXi Group Held a Panel Discussion at the Gas Investment Forum

The Panel Discussion at the Ukrainian Gas Investment Forum was moderated by Olena Pavlenko, President, Dixi Group Analytical Centre. The discussion on gas production terms in Ukraine, which lasted for about an hour, was attended by representatives of production companies and government institutions.

“The discussion turned to be productive. For the first time in the last several years, it was a calm and meaningful dialogue between the government and companies. In previous years, their relations were tense as the parties could not come to agreement on many controversial issues (including the tax regime). At last, they had a kind of a dialogue. It is a good sign”, Olena Pavlenko shared her impressions. “The only way forward is mutual trust and communication. That’s what we had during the panel discussion”.

According to the President of Dixi Group, among other issues, they discussed future directions of state policy as regards production companies. In particular, Olexandr Vovk, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, talked about business deregulation.

It should be mentioned that the Ukrainian Gas Investment Forum took place on March, 23 at the InterContinental Hotel, Kyiv. The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. The Association of Gas Producing Companies of Ukraine was a strategic partner of the Forum. According to its organizers, the event was aimed at the establishment of a professional communication platform for open public discussion, involving representatives of public authorities, international organizations and Ukrainian companies.
