Ukraine’s national parliament passed the widely-backed Law 6229 ‘On ensuring transparency in extractive industries’ on 18 September 2018. The purpose of the law is to provide public with access to complete and objective information on extractive industries businesses’ payments to promote increasing of transparency, to prevent corruption, to change of negative attitude to extractive attitude to extractive industries and to increase interest of investors.
