On June 27, 2025, in Kyiv, the event “Strengthening Communities’ Energy Capacity: Results of the Municipal Energy Planning Project” will take place. The project was implemented with the support of the MATRA Programme of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
As part of the project, experts from DiXi Group helped ten Ukrainian communities develop and approve Municipal Energy Plans (MEPs). For another ten communities, they prepared preliminary feasibility studies for energy efficiency measures included in their MEPs.
Throughout the project, experts supported communities in taking important steps toward systematic energy management, providing them with knowledge and tools to strengthen their institutional capacity. During the event, we will talk about the path participants have taken, where they currently are in the process of preparing and implementing their energy plans, and whether they have achieved their goals.
Together with experts and community representatives involved in the project, we will summarize the results, share experiences, and discuss future opportunities, including how to attract financing for energy efficiency solutions.
Topics of the event include:
- Presentations by community representatives who participated in the project, sharing their experiences, achievements, and future plans;
- Presentation of project results and key findings from the feasibility studies for energy efficiency measures;
- A panel discussion with representatives of financial institutions, donors, and banks on how communities can find funding for energy initiatives.
The event will be an open platform for everyone interested in developing sustainable and energy-efficient communities: local government representatives, donor organizations, banks, local media, civil society, and experts.
The agenda includes speeches by representatives of the Government, international partners, financial institutions and banks, local authorities, DiXi Group leaders, and project experts.
