Olena Pavlenko, President, DiXi Group Analytical Centre, took part in the meeting of the Ukrainian Side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform with the Government Office for European Integration and Deputy Ministers for European Integration. She presented a report on the EU-Ukraine cooperation in the energy sector. It should be mentioned that on 11 February 2016, during the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform in Brussels, there were presented two reports on the EU-Ukraine cooperation in the energy sector, prepared by the EU side and by the Ukrainian side.

According to the President of DiXi Group, both reports contained at least three similar priority recommendations to be considered by Ukrainian government officials. “Both Ukrainian and EU sides provided at least three recommendations: prevention of Nord Stream 2 construction, networks integration and the fastest possible deoligarchization and demonopolization of Ukrainian energy sector”, stated Olena Pavlenko at the meeting of representatives of the Ukrainian Side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform.

While commenting on the event, the President of DiXi Group highlighted that the next step of cooperation between the Platform and government officials should be a sector dialogue.

“It was the first meeting. It was a kind of introduction. However, this practice should be continued”, noted Olena Pavlenko.

In her turn, Natalia Hnydiuk, Director, Government Office for European Integration, promised that such meetings would be held on a quarterly basis.
