According to Energy Map, in 2025 Ukrainian enterprises used 14.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 18.8 million tonnes of hard coal, 3.1 million tonnes of diesel fuel, 239.7 thousand tonnes of gasoline, 143.5 thousand tonnes of fuel oil, and 113.0 thousand tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (propane and butane).
The calculations are based on data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine* and do not include retail fuel sales through the gas station network.

Dynamics compared to the period before the full-scale invasion
Compared to 2021, the use of all major energy resources decreased:
- liquefied petroleum gas – by 55.2%
- hard coal – by 52.1%
- natural gas – by 49.7%
- gasoline – by 36.0%
- diesel fuel – by 25.7%
- fuel oil – by 23.4%
It should be noted that during the full-scale war the State Statistics Service has published data only for 2025, while information for 2022-2024 is not available.

In terms of regional structure, in 2025, the largest amount of natural gas was used in the capital (2,485.6 million cubic meters), Kharkiv (2,188.7 million cubic meters), and Dnipropetrovsk (1,976.5 million cubic meters) regions. The lowest figures were recorded in Chernivtsi (75.1 million cubic meters), Zakarpattia (74.0 million cubic meters), and Kherson (59.6 million cubic meters) regions.

As for petroleum products and LPG, the largest shares in the consumption structure were recorded in:
- diesel fuel – enterprises in Dnipropetrovsk region (10.7% of total national consumption) and the city of Kyiv (8.9%);
- gasoline – the city of Kyiv (18.2%) and Dnipropetrovsk region (9.4%);
- LPG – Lviv region (18.8%) and Dnipropetrovsk region (12.8%).
* The State Statistics Service compiles data on energy resource use based on a sample survey. The sample covers enterprises across all types of economic activity, except for households (T), extraterritorial organizations (U), and the “other services” section (S). A stratified sampling method is used in calculations, allowing the results to be scaled to the national level.
