On November 24–26, DiXi Group, in partnership with international organizations, held a three-day event “From Transparency to Transformation: Civil Society Action in the Extractive Sector of Europe and Eurasia as a Whole.”

The event brought together participants from over ten countries and created a platform to discuss key challenges and opportunities in the fields of transparency, energy transition, anti-corruption practices, and the protection of civil society.

The program included:

  • presentations on the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in different countries;
  • analysis of the situation with the freedom of civil society organizations and their role in the natural resources sector;
  • sessions on the exchange of best practices in the anti-corruption, energy transition, and transparency;
  • work in groups on regional and national action plans;
  • discussions on opportunities for horizontal cooperation and joint projects between countries.

Participants also formed a vision for the future work of the coalitions and outlined next steps to develop regional cooperation on issues of transparency and accountability in the extractive industries.

The event became a platform for strengthening partnerships, exchanging experiences, and finding practical ways to transform the natural resources sector based on transparency and civil society participation.
