On September 29–30, Olena Pavlenko, President of DiXi Group, participated in a high-level conference of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris dedicated to strengthening the resilience of energy infrastructure.

International experts, government officials, and representatives of energy companies from various countries discussed how to protect energy systems from extreme weather events, cyber threats, and physical attacks.

Taking part in the discussion, Olena Pavlenko spoke about Ukraine’s experience—how the energy sector functions during wartime, what approaches help keep the system resilient, and what lessons other countries can learn to strengthen their energy systems. She also emphasized the importance of deregulation for the rapid recovery of the energy sector and the development of startups and new technologies in the sector.

Other sessions focused on new technologies for improving resilience, investment instruments (green bonds, insurance products, preferential financing), and the role of governments and regulators in supporting innovation.

On October 1, a technical workshop was held, where Olena Pavlenko presented DiXi Group’s experience in collecting innovative solutions for energy recovery based on the cooperation between DiXi Group and individual MIT startups.

The conference confirmed that Ukraine’s experience is in the spotlight of the international energy community. Our challenges are lessons for the world, and our solutions are a contribution to global energy security.
