On March 11, DiXi Group will present the analytical report “Lessons Learned: Energy Resilience in Wartime Ukraine”, which captures four years of operating Ukraine’s energy system under continuous hostile attacks.
russia’s full-scale invasion has turned Ukraine into a unique case study of energy resilience in Europe and globally. Massive strikes on power generation, transmission, and distribution facilities posed an unprecedented challenge. Despite this, the energy system preserved operational control, secured synchronization with the European grid, and developed practical mechanisms for rapid recovery, reserve accumulation, and risk management.
The new DiXi Group report systematizes these lessons and offers practical recommendations for governments, regulators, and international partners on strengthening energy system resilience in the face of hybrid and military threats. It goes beyond recovery and proposes updated approaches to energy security across Europe and beyond.
During the event:
- Key findings on vulnerabilities and resilience of energy infrastructure in wartime will be presented;
- Practical recommendations for enhancing the security of Ukraine and its partner countries will be outlined;
- A discussion between Ukrainian experts and international partners will take place.
The discussion will bring together representatives of international organizations and energy companies, including experts from the International Energy Agency, NATO, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy. Ukrainian experience will be presented by specialists from Ukrenergo and DTEK.
The event will take place on March 11 at 12:00 (Kyiv time) in an online format as part of DiXi Group’s public discussion series – Energy Security Talks.
