- On October 19, due to drone attacks on substations, emergency blackouts were introduced in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
- On October 21, over 196,000 consumers in 5 regions were without electricity due to shelling – Ministry of Energy.
- Due to Russian shelling, one of the two lines connecting the occupied ZANP with the energy system of Ukraine was disconnected.
- Due to increased demand, the DAM Base Index increased to UAH 5,606.1/MWh (+11.5%); weekly electricity imports increased by 40%.
- The volume of gas reserves in storages reached 12.8 billion cubic meters. Also, imports from Slovakia began; all gas arrived in the customs warehouse mode.
- 182 cogeneration plants have been installed, of which 83 are already in operation; the rest will be installed by the end of the year — Prime Minister Shmyhal.
- In June–September, banks received almost 2,500 applications for crediting projects for the restoration of energy infrastructure. Applications for UAH 7.9 billion were approved — NBU.
- The government approved the list of goods and equipment within the framework of the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, which are exempt from VAT and import duties.
- A draft law has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, providing for the resumption of mandatory monitoring, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions.
- The NB8 countries provide additional support. Sweden invested EUR 28 million, and Norway will allocate EUR 250 million to restore the energy sector.
- The European Commission provides EUR 3 million for the work of IAEA missions in Ukraine.
