Non-Governmental Organization “DIXI GROUP” announces a call for proposals for the position of Modeling senior expert in the field of green transition. The Modeling senior expert in the field of green transition reports to the Director of Organizational Development and works closely with the Organizational team.

Candidate requirements:
- Candidate profile – a qualified modeling expert, with experience in the field of green transition, climate policy and decarbonization, with strong analytical skills, strong communication skills and teamwork skills.
- Profile education – Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, environmental sciences, energy, or other related and relevant fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of green transition, climate policy and decarbonization.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of energy/climate modeling, modeling of objects, processes, systems, scenarios, etc.
- Knowledge of European and Ukrainian legislation in the fields of energy and climate (knowledge of ETS and CBAM is an advantage).
- Experience in data processing and analysis, including programming (e.g. Python , SQL) is a plus. These skills will allow you to work effectively in the LEAP software package developed by Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).
Specific job responsibilities:
Modeling and analysis
- Development and improvement of energy/climate models using appropriate tools, including the LEAP software developed by SEI.
- Conducting scenario analysis of energy transition pathways, the impact of decarbonization policies and strategies.
- Development of technical and economic models of decarbonization measures for various sectors of the economy.
- Collection, processing, analysis and integration of data from various sectors of the economy for use in modeling.
Research and support in policy development
- Close cooperation with SEI and DIXI teams in supporting the Government of Ukraine in updating and developing climate and decarbonization policies and plans (e.g., NECP – National Energy and Climate Plan).
- Preparation of project reports and technical documentation in accordance with modeling results and stakeholder suggestions.
Collaboration within the project
- Collaboration with SEI teams and external stakeholders.
- Participation in capacity building seminars and training in modeling tools.
Working conditions:
- Mixed work format – the opportunity to work both from an office in the center of Kyiv (Khreschatyk) and remotely;
- Social package according to the Labor Code of Ukraine;

- Working hours: 5/2 (from 10:00 to 19:00).
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Experience in the areas of green transition, decarbonization, climate and energy policy.
- Experience in energy/climate modeling and simulation of facilities, processes, systems, scenarios, etc.
- Level of expected remuneration (salary).
