In the context of war, as Ukrainian communities face unprecedented challenges including the destruction of critical infrastructure, energy shortages, limited resources, and rising energy prices, energy efficiency and the development of renewable energy have become especially important. Today, communities must become leaders in implementing solutions that reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower costs, strengthen energy security, and lay the foundation for sustainable local development.
However, implementing such projects requires not only ideas and initiatives, but also access to financing. Quite often, the lack of financial resources becomes the main barrier to change. Understanding these challenges, the team of the DiXi Group think tank has prepared this Guide as a practical tool for communities, local self-government authorities, municipal enterprises, and other stakeholders.
The Guide compiles up-to-date programs that create opportunities for financing projects in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources (RES). You will find information on programs offered by Ukrainian and international financial institutions, donor organizations, as well as examples of grants and loans that can serve as financial support for your community.
This Guide is not merely a list of programs. It is a roadmap to financial opportunities – from grant assistance to credit resources and investment mechanisms. We hope that this Guide will serve not only as a useful reference, but also as a source of inspiration for developing projects that will make the community energy-efficient, sustainable, and independent.
Today, it is crucial not to lose time: explore the available opportunities, prepare projects, seek partners, and attract financing. The extent to which Ukraine successfully advances along the path of energy transformation and recovery depends on you – on every single community.
The document is available in Ukrainian.
