Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the country’s energy sector has experienced severe attacks. These resulted in over 50 per cent of the energy infrastructure being destroyed, with the equipment at nearly all thermal power plants being damaged. The Ukrainian government has announced a “build back better” approach to energy sector recovery, with an emphasis on renewable energy sources and EU integration. However, this will require significant participation from donors and investment of private capital. 

Representatives of Ukraine’s government, the European Union, international financial institutions, expert and business communities will discuss the following issues:

• What are the prospects for investors in the energy sector of Ukraine, and which companies are ready to invest? 
• What steps should be taken to improve the business climate in the country? 
• How to properly balance the power system in the context of the growth of renewable energy sources and decentralization?
