Regional journalists were told how to get more information about Ukrainian energy

Roman Nitsovych, the program manager of DiXi Group Think Tank, took part in the training for regional media “Transparent Extraction: Where to Find the Data Needed” organized by the National Secretariat of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Ukraine (EITI).

The representative from DiXi Group introduced media professionals to the work of the USAID Transparent Energy Sector project, which will help getting more information about the domestic energy sector. In particular, it was about online map, File a Request tool, Energy Sector Online mobile application, Transparency Index, tariff formation info sheets, and online energy course.

The training was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the National Secretariat of the EITI in Ukraine, JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine, the E-Data Project and well-known investigative journalists.

The event was funded by the German and British governments through the Effective Public Finance Management project, which is being implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
