DiXi Group holds a PSA round table at the Verkhovna Rada

The round table “Prospects of signing and performing production sharing agreements”, organized by DiXi Group and Ekonomika.NOW (an inter-faction association of MPs), was held at the Verkhovna Rada on 18 October 2019.

The attendees discussed the future of production sharing agreements (PSAs) in Ukraine, outlining problematic areas and the ways of solving these problems. The event also addressed important points of improving the legal regime and expediting the signing of agreements for the first nine PSA tenders held in 2019. In particular, the participants reviewed the change of members of the Interagency Commission for PSA, possible legislative changes, the dialogue with local communities, and environmental aspects. USAID Energy Security Project’s representative Ali Aukati presented the best PSA practices and the current status of a PSA model developed to support the Ukrainian government.

Among the participants of discussions were Deputy Energy Minister for European Integration Kostiantyn Chyzhyk, representatives of the civil sector, and MPs: Andrii Gerus, Chairman of the Committee for Energy and Housing Maintenance and Utility Services, Andrii Zhupanin, chairman of a subcommittee at the Committee for Energy and Housing Maintenance and Utility Services, and Olha Belkova, chair of a subcommittee at the Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Committee.The event was organized under USAID Energy Sector Transparency project implemented by DiXi Group.
