DiXi Group calls for lecturers in the teaching field of EU Energy Law and Policy

DiXi Group, a non-governmental organization, is expanding its academic capacity at the Kyiv School of Energy Policy to cover a new teaching field: EU Energy Law and Policy.

Involvement context

The Kyiv School of Energy Policy (KSEP) is an independent non-formal energy education center that provides certification programs and short-term courses to assure access to relevant knowledge and competencies for effective business and governance in modern energy.

KSEP is currently expanding its teaching capacity to engage in the development and implementation of educational products.

Services to be provided

Successful teaching service providers will join the KSEP teaching pool and provide specific services for the development and implementation of curricula and courses (or parts thereof) on the basis of individual specific documents (terms of reference), according to the schedule and procedures of KSEP.

Working language of the Services is expected to be either English or Ukrainian.

The topics of such programs and courses (or their parts) are:

  • general issues of the energy law of the European Union;
  • the EU energy markets design;
  • history and peculiarities of integration of Ukraine to the EU in energy sector;
  • the EU public policy in the field of energy (EU Clean Energy Package, Energy Union, European Green Deal etc.)

collectively referred to as “EU Energy Law and Policy”).

The provision of services, depending on the terms agreed in the contract and individual terms of reference, may include the following forms of work:

  1. Providing general methodological support to the KSEP team;
  2. Participation in the development of concepts, structure, curricula and other components of educational products on the topics of the EU Energy Law and Policy;
  3. Formation of thematic syllabi on separate topics with division into lectures, discussions, interactive exercises, independent work, etc. on the topics of the EU Energy Law and Policy;
  4. Search and composition of local and foreign literature, cases, articles and other alternative sources and learning materials on the EU Energy Law and Policy;
  5. Preparation of independent / group tasks, quizzes, tests, final assignments;
  6. Teaching according to the developed and approved working thematic program;
  7. Mentoring of participants in training programs and courses;
  8. Participation in the development of assessment methods;
  9. Other services related to the organization and conduct of KSEP training activities as the case may be.

Provision of services may be carried out within 12 months on the basis of defined and agreed plans for the provision of services (terms of reference).

Other conditions

Three or less service providers can be selected based on the results of the tender. DiXi Group reserves the right not to select from the available applicants at the end of the stated or prolonged-term of the competition.

Selection criteria

The proposals evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

  • Actual, topical and recent experience in practising the EU Energy Law and Policy with particular emphasis on the energy integration of Ukraine and/or other countries of the Eastern Partnership and the Energy Community Contracting Parties;
  • Experience in teaching or educational activities, which, in particular, includes:

○  direct teaching experience, an

○  relevant publications, public speeches, participation in non-formal energy education projects.

  • Price offer for 1 academic hour of teaching in UAH without VAT.

Teaching experience in EU, US or international educational institutions will be a great advantage.

Previous experience of working with the energy sector of Ukraine and/or the government of Ukraine will be a great advantage.

  • CV of expert experience.
  • Price offer for 1 academic hour of teaching in UAH without VAT.
