“The data collection has long begun; many mining companies have already submitted the required data. The most problematic remains Ukrnafta – the former management of this company did not even want see the documents to be filled out. In view of the fact that Ukrnafta is not only a state company, but also produces a significant share of hydrocarbons in Ukraine, such a “hole” in the report may create a big problem for Ukraine.
The new Ukrnafta management has proclaimed new transparent and Western management principles. The provision of data for the report falls completely within the scope of these principles – after all, the published document will show the new business approach of Ukrnafta. It is therefore very important that the new chairman of the company, M. Rollins, positively respond to the request of the government and Administrator and reveal the sums of all payments the company made in 2013.”
