DiXi Group experts have outlined the opportunities for creation of a gas hub in Ukraine
Creation of the gas hub in Ukraine plays an important role in achieving gas supply diversification and liberalization of Ukrainian gas market. Gas hubs concentrate large quantity of gas supply that assures long-term energy security for the country, as well as gas-on-gas competition, which pushes the prices down. Gas hub will furthermore contribute to the improvement of overall business environment in Ukraine and to further Ukrainian integration into the European Union.

Independent NGOs operating in the field of energy and energy efficiency filed an open letter to Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman asking to announce by the end of the year a long-term plan for a phased transition to the monetization of subsidies with a gradual reduction of social normative standards, and provide an opportunity for the recipients of subsidies to use the funds saved as a result of the difference between the normative and actual level of consumption in the relevant heating season.
