The project “Enhancing impact of civil society in monitoring and policy dialogue on energy and related sector reforms in line with the Association Agreement implementation” started in 2016. It is implemented by the NGO “DIXI GROUP”, Civil Network “OPORA”, All-Ukrainian NGO “Energy Association of Ukraine”, Resource & Analysis Center “Society and Environment”, Association “European-Ukrainian Energy Agency”.
There are six working groups within the project, which work on gas, power, energy efficiency, business climate, oil and environment. For the first time over the past 1.5 years, the project has asked the authorities for monetization of subsidies, publicly raised the issues of oil reserves in Ukraine and the launch of the gas market for households, co-initiated the development of the law on the independent regulator (National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER)) and the law on the electricity market.
