EU-Ukraine CSP has adopted a joint declaration

10 April 2019

The representatives of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform have adopted a joint declaration. The document appeared during the first regional meeting, which took place from 3 April to 4 in Lviv. It reflects the common position of the European and Ukrainian Platform members.

“Together, we agreed on the priorities that Ukraine and the EU should pay particular attention to in implementing the Association Agreement and formulated them in a joint document,” said Olena Pavlenko, Head of the Ukrainian side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform and President of DiXi Group Think Tank.

She said that in the near future the document will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada and the European Parliament.

“It would be perfect if our government officials and MPs saw the priorities outlined in the document and focused on them in their work,” Olena Pavlenko commented.

The next regional meeting of the Platform will take place in Brussels in autumn.
