March update of the energy sector’s online map

30 March 2018

Experts of the USAID Transparent Energy Sector project continue to update the online map of the energy sector.

The data regarding monthly volumes of petroleum products consumed in Ukraine was updated and uploaded to the online map in March.

Data sets regarding electricity and heat generation from biomass were processed for the purpose of visualization and publication.

Ten sets of financial data provided by oblenergo companies – regarding profitability of assets, general profitability, debt and liquidity ratios, wages, etc. – were described for visualization purpose.

Based on an analysis of heat metering organization models, the Transparent Energy Sector expert Tetiana Boiko has prepared the article Heat Metering: What to Expect in the Upcoming Season.

The project’s specialists have also prepared a complete unified database of data sets contained on the energy sector’s online map. In 2018, this instrument will be finalized to help users navigate the map and find the necessary information faster.

As a reminder, the online map of Ukraine’s energy sector, developed by DiXi Group Analytical Center’s and USAID Transparent Energy Sector project’s experts, was presented on 14 July 2017.
