Well-Known Investigative Journalist Joins Transparent Energy Project

Editor-in-chief of the Internet-portal "Fourth Power" (Chetverta vlada) Denys Kazanskyi joined USAID's Transparent Energy project coalition. He announced it on his page in social networks. "I was invited to participate. This project is much needed given the level of corruption in this industry”, Denys said.

He will take part in the development of an on-line map, and act as an expert on the coal-mining industry.

As was reported before, an association of journalists and experts within the framework of USAID's Transparent Energy project implemented by DiXi Group started its work in October.

General information: Denys Kazanskyi is a blogger and a journalist. He lived in Donetsk until 2014. He specialized in issues related to illegal coal mining, investigated the issue of small illegal coal mines (kopanky). When military actions started in Donbas region, he moved to Kyiv. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the Internet-portal "Fourth Power" (Chetverta vlada), and a journalist of the “Ukrainian week” (Ukrainskyi tyzhden) periodical.  He carried out a series of investigations on illegal amber extraction.
