DiXi Group Think Tank initiated an expert meeting devoted to the discussion of the draft Energy Sector Transparency Index methodology of Ukraine.
According to Roman Nitsovych, DiXi Group Program Manager, the Index should become an instrument for a comprehensive assessment of the availability of information and the basis for effective dialogue between the government and other stakeholders, in particular non-government organizations, business circles, and journalists.
“Its use is planned not only in Ukraine but also at the level of the region - for example, the member states of the Energy Community. That is why it is important to develop a universal assessment system now,” Roman Nitsovych said.
The discussion was attended by Ukrainian and foreign experts, including the specially invited economist of the Federal Network Agency of Germany (Bundesnetzagentur) and expert of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) Dr. Deniz Erdem.
The discussion took place within the framework of the Anti-Corruption Initiative and Enhancing Fiscal Transparency in the Energy Sector in Ukraine (Transparent Energy) project with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
