The Multi-Stakeholder Group discusses essential aspects of a future ЕІТІ report

22 January 2018

On 18 January, the Renaissance Foundation hosted this years first meeting of the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) for implementation of ЕІТІ in Ukraine. At this meeting, DiXi Group was represented by the organization’s President Olena Pavlenko.

The meeting’s program included discussion, jointly with the Independent Administrator, of core elements of the future ЕІТІ report. After discussing dividends, quasi-fiscal payments, kopankas (illegal makeshift coalmines) and other matters, the group has agreed upon the final list of matters which the upcoming EITI Report must address.

In addition, the meeting has established two MSG working groups tasked, among other things, with working out an electronic reporting system within the ЕІТІ framework and developing a system of monitoring and evaluating implementation of ЕІТІ to ensure better development of Ukraine’s extractive sector and improve governance.
